Activities at the mcreynolds'

We have many different bikes available for your use in varying sizes and types, there are also great walks right out the back door and a few great hikes up Blacktail Butte that lies directly behind the property. Ask us about our favorite trails! The South Entrance to Yellowstone is also only an hour away from our cabins, if you plan on making a Yellowstone excursion part of your visit we have coolers and folding chairs you can take to make the experience great for the whole family! If you need advice about how to make Yellowstone wonderful and less stressful, just ask!


Water Activities

With the Snake River flowing all the way through Grand Teton National Park and near the town of Jackson there are lots of companies to choose from when it comes to rafting, our favorites have been around for over twenty five years, and are run by local families.

If you are interested in fly fishing, Dornan’s has a great fly fishing shop, or Snake River Anglers in Jackson has a very knowledgeable staff! Remember, to fish in Wyoming you must buy a fishing license, this can be purchased at any fishing store in the area or at the Wyoming Fish and Game office in the town of Jackson.

Dornan’s also rents canoes and paddle boards if you are interested in exploring one of our many lakes!

Restaurants

As a bustling tourist town we have so many restaurants that it can be hard to narrow it down, here are a few that stand out to us.

  • Dornan’s- The closest restaurant, grocery store, and liquor store to the cabins, Dornan’s is a staple in Grand Teton National Park

  • Kelly on the Gros Ventre- Located in the tiny town of Kelly, this cafe is just down the road and has great coffee close to home

  • Pearl Street Bagels- Delicious coffee, freshly made bagels and a great location right off the Town Square. This is one of the first stops for locals after being away from Jackson

  • New York City Sub Shop- Great sandwiches and a cool building to boot!

  • Gun Barrel Steak and Game- Great steaks and fish, with unique decor sure to make you grab your camera! Call for reservations, they fill up fast, but are worth the wait!

  • Blue Lion- Looking for a fine dining experience? Give this local favorite a try!

  • A more niche experience: Alpenglow Adventure Catering. This local startup will bring a high-end, farm-to-table dining experience to you! Their chef will create a fantastic meal at the cabins for a deluxe outdoor dining experience.
